Mutual Aid
The Mutual Aid Working Group builds community resilience by sharing skills and resources to combat systemic injustice within our communities. We prioritize solidarity, survival, and resistance, adapting to meet our community’s changing needs in an increasingly unlivable society. Our current projects are Builder’s Club (includes community gardening), Creative Activism, Mental Health Mutual Aid, bulk food buying and distribution, and Disaster Response.

Class Struggle
The Class Struggle Working Group is comprised of members of the working class and focused primarily on uplifting the members of the working class through building our collective power. We aim to foster struggle and collective action among workers, renters, students and immigrants. We also assist similar struggles that are ongoing whenever and however possible. “An injury to one, is an injury to all!”

Unhoused Solidarity
The Unhoused Solidarity Working Group exists to serve the people – to build relationships with, and organize alongside, unhoused people. Our goal is to build an organized and lasting political formation that deals with issues of housing insecurity and its root causes.

Political Education
The Political Education Working Group seeks to help foster open political discussion and education (and maybe some debate). Our role is not to impose any particular political line (or the political line of any other political organization we may be a part of), other than what is outlined in the PGA’s mission statement and points of unity. Our goal is to present relevant historical and contemporary examples of social struggles and revolutionary writings to pose questions for discussion that can inform our collective ability to act. Our goal is to help ask useful questions and give space for the discussions that follow, rather than dictate answers or present a politically narrow political discussion. We are currently hosting a monthly screenings and discussions following along with Cooperation Jackson’s Build and Fight series.
